African Pet Grooming Academy
Professional pet grooming in Nigeria has no formal route in. Groomers learn on the job, standards vary from salon to salon, and a pet owner has no reliable way to tell one groomer from another.
The African Pet Grooming Academy is being built to change that — structured training, practical assessment and certification for people who want to groom professionally.
What the training will cover
- Coat types, and how each one is handled
- Breed-standard and pet-trim technique
- Skin and coat health, and when to refer to a vet
- Safe handling of anxious, elderly and matted animals
- Salon hygiene, equipment care and sharpening
- Running a grooming business — pricing, booking and client care
Why us
APGA is built on the day-to-day work of Pawleashed Groomer in Lekki, which completed 652 grooms and baths in the last twelve months. The curriculum comes from that bench, not from a textbook.
