A medicated wash for dogs and cats with itchy, flaking or infected skin. It combines chlorhexidine digluconate 2%, which works on bacteria, with miconazole nitrate 2%, which works on yeast and fungal skin infections — the two problems that usually appear together on a scratching pet.
Use it for hot spots, crusty or greasy patches, ringworm-type fungal infection, yeast-smelling skin, and the recovery period after a skin infection has been treated.
How to use. Wet the coat, work the shampoo down to the skin rather than over the fur, and leave it on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing well. That contact time is the whole point — a quick lather does nothing. Twice a week is usual, but follow the course your vet sets.
Before you buy. Skin that is raw, bleeding or smells strongly may need more than a shampoo. Our vet is on site in Ikate and can look at your pet the same day.
